A MacWhisper alternative built for dictation
MacWhisper shines at transcribing recordings: interviews, meetings, podcasts, YouTube. Saypad does one thing – it turns what you say into text in the app you're typing in.

Can I use both?
Yes. Many people keep MacWhisper for recordings and use Saypad for everyday dictation. They don't interfere, as long as only one of them uses the fn key.
Is Saypad's recognition as good?
Both run Whisper on your Mac. Saypad uses large-v3-turbo once it has downloaded in the background, with a light model built in so it works right after install.
Does Saypad transcribe audio files?
No. Saypad is for live dictation only. For files, MacWhisper is the better tool.
